A Rainbow Doesn’t Exist until after the Storm has Passed
So often in life, we don’t experience the sweetest blessings or the greatest peace until after our storms have come and gone.
To refine gold it has to be heated and melted in the hottest fires to shine brightly. The craftsman must sit next to a hot fire with the molten gold in a crucible being stirred and skimmed to remove the impurities or dross that rise to the top slowly refining the precious metal. This is how it is with our lives. This is how the Master Craftsman many times has to purify us; but just like the craftsman of gold, God is sitting near to our fire, always making sure it is never too hot for His precious ones to endure.
The hottest fires have the power to strengthen our faith and help our lives to shine brighter for others coming on the path behind us!
Diamonds are found deep in the earth where all manner of force has been exerted against them to produce a beautiful rare gem that is then cleaned and admired. Again, it is the same with the Master above, who often uses great force in the Christian’s life to ennoble and cleanse us and make us into gems fit for His crown above.
Through trials, our lives are made into a beautiful song of victory. God can take the most painful, soul crushing, stormy trials in our lives and turn them into a amazing story of His redemption! He took one of the most horrifying experiences ever to happen to a human being, and through it the offer of salvation was made available to the entire world.
George Mueller, a man of extreme faith and a great missionary once said: “The only way to know strong faith is to endure great trials. I have learned my faith by standing firm through severe testings.”
If today you are going through a fiery trial and you feel like letting go, don’t! God can work miracles through your pain when you hold tight to Him. Remember it is after the storm and the heavy rains that the earth is refreshed and the flowers develop their beautiful blooms!
God promises: “When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.” So...”Fear not: for [God is] with thee.” (Isaiah 43:2, 5)
